​The end of Toulavý ráj? Let's save 105 cats and their sanctuary.

​Hi, I'm Katty. If you follow our Toulavý ráj , you know that we give a chance to the most vulnerable cat patients, motherless orphans, animals with disabilities, or chronic illnesses.

​My philosophy has been the same from the very beginning: "Adopting one cat won't change the world, but it will change the world for that one cat."

​But few see what happens behind the scenes. Behind every saved life is a lot of hard work and sacrifice. I have given everything to Toulavý ráj. My family barely sees me, and my personal life has ceased to exist. While others sleep, with tears in my eyes I patch together the broken bodies of street cats, clean boxes, tube-feed, manage spreadsheets, and pray for their survival.

My nerves are shattered, my body is exhausted, but every time those cat eyes look at me, I know I cannot back down. They have no one else but us.

We are at the absolute end of our human and financial strength.

​Love alone cannot pay the vet bills

​Feeding and treating 105 cats is a massive financial burden.

​One day of a full life (special diets, medicine, litter) costs exactly 100 CZK (approx. €4 / $4) per cat. That is over 300,000 CZK (~€12,000) per month. Unfortunately, official contributions are just a drop in the ocean, and we have had to rescue dozens of animals in completely neglected, deplorable conditions over the past few months.

​The result is a current debt of 125,000 CZK (~€5,000) at the veterinary clinic.

The vets trust us and continue to treat our cats on credit and help us because they know I never turn away an animal in a life-threatening situation.

But that debt is now so deep that we face an immediate halt to all treatments and the complete end of the entire shelter and adoption cafe.

​The two-legged miracle, Sparky the cat, has only two legs – his front ones. Anywhere else, they would have euthanized him without a second thought as a hopeless case. With us, he runs around, has been enjoying life for five years now, purrs in my arms, and proves to me and our guests every single day that our sacrifice makes sense.

​Fragile orphans... Cat babies that someone threw away in a box, babies that were born to die. Motherless, freezing, sentenced to a slow death.

​Our quarantine saved their lives; they need care every few hours. But if we fall, next week there will be no place left to hide babies like them.

How will the fundraiser help?

​Our goal is to raise 300,000 CZK (~€12,000), which will buy us time and the ability to breathe.

​Milestone 125,000 CZK: We will immediately pay off the invoices at the veterinary clinic. We will clear the past, and the doctors will be able to keep saving animals in acute life-threatening situations.

​Milestone 200,000 CZK: We will buy special diets for chronic patients and vital milk and food for the tiny kittens for the upcoming weeks.

​Milestone 300,000 CZK: We will gain one month of a safe life for all 105 cats. I desperately need this time to take a breath after months of stress and gather strength for further rescues.

​This is not a regular request for kibble. This is a battle for the survival of the entire Toulavý ráj. My heart and hands can't take any more on their own; now it’s your turn. Don't leave us in this alone.
