I came to the Czech Republic because of my granddaughter, whom her parents are not taking care of. I managed to get her into foster care, but because her parents didn’t file a residence application for her in time, little Mia hasn’t been granted temporary protection yet, and therefore can’t apply for any financial assistance from the state, health insurance, or other forms of aid.
We’re working on her residence status, but the process will likely take some time. I have used up almost all my savings to secure housing for the two of us and to cover the costs of the legal proceedings to place Mia in my care.
Mia is a cheerful and curious child; she brings me immense joy, but caring for her is also demanding.
Her parents do not contribute to her care; they cannot be located, and child support cannot be legally enforced.
How will this fundraiser help?
Because I cannot work due to caring for Mia, I have fallen into financial difficulties. The money I am asking for here will be used to care for little Mia—the costs of food, medical care, and hygiene supplies for her for two months (by which time I hope her residency status will be resolved) amount to approximately 10,000 CZK.

04. 05. 2026Jsem moc vděčná všem, kdo nám přispěli a pomohli překonat těžké období. Má vnučka je veselé, aktivní dítě, které si ještě zdaleka neuvědomuje problémy, které život přináší. Jsem moc šťastná, že její bezstarostnost nemusím narušit tím, že bych jí nemohla dát to, co potřebuje: zdravé jídlo, léky, drogerii. Mockrát všem děkuji a přeji všem pevné zdraví.
