Hope for Jiří – through the hardest fight of his life

Hello,

My name is Jiří. I’m 45 years old and have been living in Bradenton, Florida, for the past 10 years. I’m originally from the Czech Republic, a father of three, divorced, and have spent my working life as a baker.

Not long ago, I was living a normal life—until one day, about a year ago, doctors gave me a devastating diagnosis: lymphoma cancer.

Since then, everything has changed. I’ve undergone four major surgeries, including a colostomy, and more procedures are ahead. I’m currently going through intense chemotherapy, and the cancer has also affected my spine—so now I’m relearning how to walk.

I spend most of my time in the hospital. I’m unable to work, have lost my home, and now live in a small rented apartment. Still, I fight on—mainly for my children, who are still in school and whom I want to continue to support as much as I can.

Living with serious illness is hard anywhere, but in the United States, medical costs are far higher than in Europe. That’s why I’m reaching out with an open heart and asking for help from anyone willing to support me. Every donation helps—not only with medical treatment and recovery, but also with everyday expenses like rent, utilities, and medications.

I believe mental strength and peace of mind are vital for healing. With your help, I hope to overcome this difficult time. My greatest wish is to get healthy, be here for my children, and one day, hopefully, hold my grandchildren in my arms.
