My name is Jiří Hansalander and I am 41 years old. I have been dealing with cerebral palsy associated with quadriplegia since birth. I live alone in a sheltered housing apartment in Brno.

I can only partially move my head and right hand, I use it to control the computer with special aids, otherwise I can't do anything by myself.

I need help with everything - dressing, eating, bathing, moving to a wheelchair and positioning myself in bed.

For me, assistance is a necessity not only when working at home, but also when dealing with offices or doctor visits. I simply could not function without it.

My health gets often worse. For the last few years, I have had problems, especially in the spring. I am regularly taken to the hospital with pneumonia. So far, I've always got over it. I also have brittle bones and have broken a bone in my hip twice. I can't sit for long because of this, I use a lot of pillows for positioning and the assistants have to handle me carefully so the bone doesn't break again. I also have to deal with a blocked urethra, which is why I often go to the hospital.

Personal assistance helps me with very basic things that I would not be able to do without the help of assistants.

However, I cannot pay for as many hours of assistance as I would need, so I am asking for your financial help.
