Changing lives with yourchance

We are yourchance, a Czech non-profit organisation helping people build independent, dignified lives for more than 15 years. We work with young people who leave orphanages or foster care and start adulthood without family support, and we also support women, youth and families who came to Czechia due to the war in Ukraine. Our mission is simple: everyone deserves a real chance to succeed.

What we do

Start on the Right Foot (Začni správně)

A long-term support system for young adults leaving care. We provide guidance, mentoring and practical help with housing, employment, daily-life skills and crisis situations. In the Czech Republic, we are the only nationwide integration system focused on this target group.

Welcome to Czechia (Vítej v Česku)

Integration and employability support for refugees and vulnerable newcomers – counselling, orientation in Czech systems, job readiness and entrepreneurship. More than 4500 participants have been supported through this programme.

Financial Literacy for Schools

We equip teachers and schools with practical tools so that students understand money before making costly mistakes. Our activities have reached 600,000+ students, in cooperation with 2,000 teachers and experts; we have 320 certified schools and published 36,500 textbooks.

Why we are fundraising

Your donation helps us keep our support available where it is needed most – and to develop solutions that work long-term, not only as one-time aid. Donations will be used primarily for:

• direct support for young adults leaving care (crisis help, housing and job support, counselling and mentoring),
• integration and education activities for refugees and vulnerable groups (courses, counselling, community support),
• financial literacy programmes for schools (teacher training, workshops, methods and certification).

We focus on measurable impact. For example, within Start on the Right Foot we report 240 integrated young people, and our work also brings broader benefits for society.
