Anna and Kristian want to study. Let’s help them make it possible.

Education can make a significant difference in how successfully young people from children’s homes transition to independent life. However, children’s homes do not always have sufficient resources to enable children and young people to pursue an education that reflects their interests and abilities – one that they enjoy, find meaningful and are therefore more likely to successfully complete.

This is why, through our HELP ME START IN LIFE project, we support older children and young people from children’s homes throughout their studies and help them prepare for independent life.

Anna and Kristian both know what they want to pursue. They are motivated, work hard and want to achieve something in life. Now we would like to help them continue on their chosen path.

Anna is currently in the first year of her Master’s degree in Security Management at AMBIS University. She has been interested in the field of security since secondary school and continued in this area during her Bachelor’s studies. She enjoys her field and would like to focus further on criminalistics and criminology. Thanks to the scholarship programme provided by the DEJME DĚTEM ŠANCI Foundation, she has been able to complete both her secondary and university education and would now like to continue her studies.

Kristian has started his first year at the Secondary School for the Protection of Persons and Property in Zlín, studying Security and Legal Services. He is interested in a future career with the police, particularly because of the discipline, sense of justice, teamwork and opportunity for continuous personal development that the profession represents. He takes a similar approach to sport and has already set himself an ambitious personal goal for the future – to complete an Ironman race.

These are exactly the young people we support through our HELP ME START IN LIFE project. The project focuses on older children and young people from children’s homes, helping them prepare for the moment when they will need to stand on their own two feet. Supporting them throughout their education is an important part of this work.

Anna has already come a long way in her studies thanks to this support, while Kristian is only at the beginning of his journey.

What they share is the determination to achieve their goals and build a good future for themselves. Through this fundraiser, we would therefore like to raise funds to support them and help cover the costs associated with their studies.

How the fundraiser will help

The funds raised through this campaign will provide Anna and Kristian with support for one full academic year. They will help cover tuition fees, school supplies, travel expenses, educational courses and other costs directly related to their studies.
