My name is Jana, and I am creating this fundraiser for Monoem — a person who means an incredible amount to me and who has been fighting to return to a normal life after a tragic accident on April 12th.
Monoem suffered extremely severe and life-threatening injuries, and his condition remained critical for a long time.
He spent a month and a half in a coma, and at one point doctors gave him only a 19% chance of survival. Despite everything, he never gave up his fight, and he survived.
But surviving was only the beginning. The hardest part — the long road toward recovery and returning to normal life — is still ahead of him.
Monoem suffered extensive injuries throughout his body. Both of his legs were broken, many of the bones in his face were shattered during the accident, and his lungs were also seriously affected. In the near future, he will undergo eye surgery, facial reconstruction, and another surgery related to the treatment of his lungs.
After a lengthy hospitalization, he remains dependent on the daily help of others. He requires regular wound care, medication, medical supplies, hospital check-ups, and constant daily assistance. Due to his current health condition, he is unable to work or function independently.
His treatment, rehabilitation, and journey back to even a partially normal life will still be very long, difficult, and financially demanding.
Monoem also does not have stable family or financial support that he can rely on during this difficult time. Much of the care, organization, and daily expenses therefore remain on me.
Over the past months, I have been trying to provide him with at least basic security and dignified conditions for his treatment and recovery. Unfortunately, I am no longer able to manage this situation financially on my own in the long term, which is why I decided to ask others for help.
The donated funds will primarily be used for long-term coverage of:
• caregiver and daily assistance — approximately 7,500 CZK per month
• rent and utilities — approximately 8,500 CZK per month
• medication — approximately 2,500–5,000 CZK per month
• sterile and wound-care medical supplies — approximately 5,000 CZK per month
• food and transportation to hospitals, check-ups, and treatments — approximately 6,000–7,500 CZK per month
• basic daily necessities and essential items needed throughout his recovery
The total monthly costs for his basic care and treatment are approximately 34,000 CZK.
This fundraiser is not intended for luxury or anything beyond basic needs. It is meant to provide essential treatment, safe housing, medical care, and daily support that Monoem currently cannot live without.
If we are fortunate enough to raise a higher amount, the additional funds will also be used for further treatment, rehabilitation, hospitalization costs, and follow-up medical care that Monoem will continue to need in the coming months.
Even if we are unable to raise the full target amount, I will still be deeply grateful for any help. Every contribution, share, or form of support will help us at least partially cover the treatment, care, and basic daily needs that Monoem depends on every single day.
It has never been easy for me to publicly ask for help, but today I know I cannot manage this situation alone in the long term.

První kontrola nohou od operace/ First Leg Check-Up After Surgery
25. 06. 2026📢 Aktualizace zdravotního stavu
Ze srdce bychom chtěli poděkovat všem za jejich podporu, povzbudivé zprávy a vlídná slova. Velmi si vážíme každé pomoci, ať už formou finančního příspěvku nebo sdílení sbírky. Moc pro nás znamená vědět, že v tom nejsme sami.
Dnes 25.06.2026 Monoem podstoupil kontrolu svých nohou, první od operace. Lékaři provedli nové rentgenové snímky, aby zkontrolovali průběh hojení, a zároveň mu byly odstraněny stehy.
Bohužel dlahy na obou nohách zatím musí zůstat. Další kontrola je naplánována za tři týdny. Věříme, že právě tehdy budou moci lékaři posoudit další postup léčby a že Monoem bude moci začít s prvními rehabilitacemi, které jsou důležitým krokem na cestě k tomu, aby se mohl znovu postavit na vlastní nohy.

Today, June 25, 2026, Monoem had his first leg check-up since surgery. The doctors performed new X-rays to monitor the healing process, and his stitches were also removed.
Unfortunately, the splints on both of his legs must remain in place for now. His next check-up is scheduled in three weeks. We hope that at that time the doctors will be able to assess the next stage of his treatment and that Monoem will be able to begin his first rehabilitation sessions, which are an important step toward standing on his own feet again.

Průběh hojení po operaci/ Recovery Progress After Surgery
20. 06. 2026📢 Aktualizace zdravotního stavu
Máme více informací o operaci, kterou Monoem podstoupil 10. června.
Lékaři během téměř sedmihodinového zákroku operovali jeho čelist, lícní kosti, očnice a čelo. Vzhledem k rozsahu zranění bylo nutné rozdrcené kosti zpevnit pomocí ocelových plátů, které nyní pomáhají držet jednotlivé části obličeje pohromadě a umožňují jejich správné hojení.
Po operaci byl Monoem velmi oteklý a zotavování je pro něj bolestivé a náročné. Naštěstí otoky postupně ustupují a my věříme, že se vše bude hojit správně a že kosti opět dobře srostou.
Monoem nadále zůstává pod lékařským dohledem a čeká ho další náročná cesta k zotavení.

📢 Health Update
We now have more information about the surgery Monoem underwent on June 10.
During the nearly seven-hour procedure, surgeons operated on his jaw, cheekbones, eye sockets, and forehead. Due to the extent of his injuries, the shattered bones had to be stabilized using steel plates, which now help hold the bones in place and support proper healing.
Following the surgery, Monoem experienced significant swelling, and the recovery process has been painful and challenging. Fortunately, the swelling is slowly decreasing, and we remain hopeful that everything will heal properly and that the bones will fuse together as intended.
Monoem remains under medical supervision and still faces a long and difficult road to recovery.

Dne 10. 6. podstoupil Monoem další náročnou operaci v oblasti obličeje, která trvala přibližně 7 hodin.
V tuto chvíli bohužel ještě nemáme k dispozici podrobné informace o celém rozsahu zákroku. Jakmile budeme mít více informací od ošetřujících lékařů, budeme vás o dalším průběhu léčby informovat.
Monoem nyní zůstává hospitalizován v nemocnici a zotavuje se po operaci.

On June 10, Monoem underwent another major facial surgery, which lasted approximately 7 hours.
At this time, we unfortunately do not yet have detailed information about the full extent of the procedure. As soon as we receive more information from his medical team, we will keep you updated on the next steps in his treatment and recovery.
For now, Monoem remains hospitalized and is recovering from surgery.
