NELA LOST HER ARM IN A CAR ACCIDENT

Nela was always a positive, smiling girl who spread her good mood to everybody around her. In August 2024 her life was turned upside down by a tragic event. When returning home from an inspirational meeting of scholarship recipients of the ROMEA organization, she and her family became the victims of a serious car accident.

"Because of an obstacle on the highway, the car driven by Nela's mother rear-ended a truck and Nela lost her arm."

Despite her serious injuries and the long road to her recovery, Nela has not given up hope. She has decided to continue her studies with an individual plan and her determination has surprised everybody. Despite all these obstacles she wants to live a full-fledged life and get back to her normal life as soon as possible.

How will this collection aid her?

Nela needs a bionic arm to return to normal life. Such a prosthetic would make it possible for her to perform everyday activities again and return to spending time with her friends and on her hobbies.

However, Nela and her family are now grappling with the high costs not just of such a special prosthetic, but of her rehabilitation and treatment.
